Descriptions

Speaker Descriptions

Blind and Yet She Sees—Fanny Crosby’s Life and Work | Vickie Gaynier: Fanny Crosby was an American hymnist and poet who lived from 1820 to 1915. Despite being blind from infancy, Crosby wrote over 8,000 hymns and gospel songs, many of which are still popular. She became one of the most prominent figures in American hymnody, and her compositions are still sung in churches around the world. Crosby's songs focus on faith, hope, and salvation and still touch the hearts of many today.

Call to Arms: The Guts & Glory of Courageous Fatherhood | Chuck Black: There is a spiritual war being waged for our families. Our enemy is strong, and we are in his territory. Dad, if you don’t fight for your family, no one else will. When a soldier is in enemy territory, he is alert, focused and purposeful about every move he makes with weapons ready. Only you stand between the enemy and your family, for God has given you the authority and the responsibility to stop him from destroying your marriage and your children. This takes courage, but your calling is noble––it is God’s call to arms. Chuck offers straight answers and practical help for dads who are looking to protect, train, equip, and launch soldiers for Jesus Christ.

Divine Dilemma: Wrestling with the Question of a Loving God in a Fallen World | Ken Ham: In this presentation, you'll learn how to deal with the issue of death and suffering, while broadening your understanding of a loving God.

Fighting Apathy: Teaching Your Teens to Care | Chuck Black: More than ever before, raising teenagers that care about their faith is hard, especially in a culture that is quickly becoming increasingly hostile toward Christians. When a child enters those confusing years, the enemy uses dozens of weapons to rob them of their faith. Spiritual apathy is insidious and perhaps the most destructive of all. Chuck shares understanding and techniques to equip parents for these challenging teen years.

Homeschooling from a Biblical Worldview | Israel Wayne : Are your children prepared to face the “real world”? Learn how to equip your children to stand against the flood of secularism that threatens to drown them. What is your worldview? How are you going to transfer it to your children? Will you be more effective than the media and popular culture? Discover how to teach your children to view the core subjects (and all of life) through the lens of Scripture.

How to Keep Your Child in the Faith | Israel Wayne: Studies show that 70% of churched youth abandon the Christian faith sometime before high school graduation. While there are no guarantees in parenting, there are steps parents can take that have been proven through various studies to statistically improve the chances of your child embracing and remaining in the faith. Learn what actionable steps you can take to help strengthen your child against unbelief.

Looking Back on Homeschool Years | Sarah (Mally) Hancock: Harold Mally, together with his daughter, Sarah Hancock, will share lessons and perspectives as they look back on their homeschool years. They will challenge families to stay Christ-focused, remember their ultimate goal in their education, incorporate God’s Word into daily life, and trust in God’s faithfulness and power. Harold will share the importance of the father’s role in homeschooling, and Sarah will share from a daughter’s perspective some of the things she appreciated most about her homeschool years.

Off the Couch into Creation | The Wild Brothers: The Wild Brothers have grown up in Indonesia chasing faith and adventure. Now they explore America for the first time and discover that you don’t have to be on the far side of the world to have an adventure––all you have to do is get off the couch and into creation!

Preparing Teens for Purity and Relationships | Sarah and Andrew Hancock: Young people often have many questions as they think about their future and look forward to meeting their future spouse. How should they prepare for marriage? What tools will help them discern God’s will? What should young people do while they are waiting? How can they wisely navigate relationships in this sinful world? In this workshop, Andrew and Sarah Hancock will share about the importance of trusting the Lord and following his ways, not the world’s ways. Weaving in their own story of how God brought them together after many years of singleness, they will share lessons God taught them along the way and discuss key principles in relationships. For parents and teens.

Protecting Children in a Sexualized Society | Heidi St. John: God’s Word teaches us that the primary job of parents is to raise children who are equipped, both spiritually and mentally, for the “real world.” Our assignment? To prepare our kids to stand against “the schemes of the devil.” The trouble is the language of woke culture often gets right by busy parents. Who has time to learn all the new words and phrases that seem to be created every other week? If you’re struggling to keep up, join Heidi St. John as she equips you to easily identify the language of the left and teach your own children to do the same.

Unless the Lord Builds the House: 5 Ways to Thrive in Family Life | Heidi St. John: Do you want your family to thrive? God does too! Join Heidi St. John as she shares why having a “family mission” should be part of every home, how to carve out time for romance, honoring mealtimes, honoring the roles of male and female, cultivating sibling relationships, and more.

Who Am I? Solving the Identity Puzzle | Martyn Iles: The identity crisis compels us to look in all the wrong places to answer the question “Who am I?” But can the popular “my truth” and “their truth” provide the solutions they promise? What is the solid foundation of “the truth” that solves the identity puzzle?

Will They Stand: Parenting Kids to Face the Giants | Ken Ham: A hurricane of cultural change is threatening to sweep our children away. How can we anchor them to the unchanging foundation of God’s Word? Discover biblical tools for passing on a godly legacy.
